R-404A refrigerant, also known as R404A, has trade names such as SUVA HP62, Freon 404A, and Genetron 404A .
Since R-404A is an HFC-type non-azeotropic environmentally friendly refrigerant (completely free of CFC and HCFC
that damage the ozone layer), it is currently recognized and recommended by most countries in the world as a
mainstream low-temperature environmentally friendly refrigerant, and is widely used in the initial installation of
new refrigeration equipment and re-addition during maintenance. It complies with the standards of the US
environmental protection organizations EPA, SNAP and UL, and meets the A1 safety level category of the
American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) (this is the highest level and
is harmless to the human body).
R-404A Main Application
R-404A is a widely used medium and low temperature refrigerant today. It is often used in cold storage, food
freezing equipment, marine refrigeration equipment, industrial low temperature refrigeration, commercial low
temperature refrigeration, transportation refrigeration equipment (refrigerated trucks, etc.), refrigeration
condensing units, supermarket display cabinets and other refrigeration equipment.
R404A refrigerant is the most common industrial standard refrigerant (usually low-temperature refrigeration
systems) that replaces Freon R22 and R502 on newly installed refrigeration equipment. R404A is closest to
the operation of R-502 and is suitable for all environments where R-502 can operate normally. R404A is
recognized and used by the vast majority of refrigeration equipment manufacturers around the world. However,
since R404A is different from R502 and R22 in physical and chemical properties, theoretical cycle performance,
and compressor oil, etc., for after-sales maintenance of refrigeration equipment initially installed with R502 and
R22 refrigerants, if refrigerants need to be added or replaced, only R502 and R22 can be added. Usually, R404A cannot directly replace R502 and R22 (that is, it is usually not possible to perform a blood transfusion replacement).
